Late again for Writing Wednesday scheduled post (all I did yesterday was pack and travel, and pack some more, and read while I travelled) , because life has decided to pick me up and drag me around till I have no breath left to blog. Westcobich, I spent some time away in a very quiet place indeed and now am back in the big city. HATE the noise, but I'll get back to being so used to it I don't hear it at all! 🙁
Enjoyed this – especially your "turn off" reference to "noise." What IS it with noise lately? I find it so invasive. Maybe because there is always so much constant input. I treasure time at home in the wing chair with a candle burning and pen and paper at hand.
And yes, crickets!!!! Only a few more months 'til we hear their songs again!
