For the past few days, I have been quiet, not talking much.

And while this was a noisy affair before, thoughts clamoring for attention in all directions, today I find I am able to focus better. I am quiet on the inside as much as I am on the outside.

This is a very good thing….and I hope I can keep this inner silence with me, as I go back to talking again on the outside.

Certainly “silence is golden” at times. There are times when silence pays rich dividends. Solomon said: “The one who guards his mouth preserves his life; the one who opens wide his lips comes to ruin”. (Pro. 13:3). Surely the kind of silence here advised, the control of one’s tongue, is “golden” indeed. Silence is certainly “golden” when compared to speaking evil. How wonderfully “golden” the “silence” would be if all whispering, gossip, backbiting, lying, slander and such like could be forever stopped. Perhaps all of us need to give more attention to our speech. There are times when one can say more by being silent. Too many times we may be guilty of saying too much.To remain silent at times is beautiful, and I like to enjoy it. The silence allow us to be and to be free. It’s a moment of simply joy, immeasurable peace where you don’t need to sleep, or meditate or watch sometimes mindless, all we need to do is to be aware of silence so don’t you forget to take a moment like this, I think you deserve it, because it’s important in day to day life as we multitask in our busy lives.Usually the silence help me to relax and to dialog with myself.

  • quiet is nice sometimes. inside or out.

Silence is so golden. OH, that I could be still and mute for a few days. Months. Years. Forever.

Alas, I have children. But they’re worth the sacrifice.

    🙂 I hope you’re doing well.
