Not in a good way. Not in a good way at all.
For the past two weeks I’m trying to get him to appear on the page — he is the alter-ego of one of my characters, and needs to go into chapter 20.
But no matter what I try, he only appears to scare the daylights out of me in my dreams.
Any suggestions, ideas to exorcise him and pin him into my WIP are not only welcome, but also requested!
Ah, how I feel sorry for those who think writers live the glamorous life.
Dont they have a glamourous life 🙂 ah well what and how will i know .. i need to be a writer to know that 🙂

Tell me about it! Writing is therapeutic but surely people think writers live a glamourous life which is not true all the time. It can be more glamour and more loneliness too :s
Chocolate or retail therapy would work…

Creepy picture! I have no suggestion since I don't even remember my dreams. I don't know, I think a man who skins women is someone I wouldn't want to bring to life 🙂
Nothing I dream about ever makes it into my WIPs. Sorry, no advice here. 🙁
Try hot chocolate??
I agree with the above comments about documenting your dreams and using him in dream sequences. I will say that he'll probably be an amazing character when he finally happens. Dream inspiration makes me want to believe in the Muses.
I've begun writing my dreams down, the ones I remember, anyway. I do believe in the Muses. It is too much weight on a writer's shoulders, otherwise.
I like DG's comment–try writing down the dream and all the little details there. Maybe that would help? From the picture it looks like he's giving you some creepy dreams :/
Oh, creepy enough. Let's say, these days I don't enjoy falling asleep.
Ooh, I like Alex's suggestion, lol! I've never had this happen so I don't know what to say. Just write down all the impressions of him you have and how he makes you feel and then see if that helps get him into the scene.
Good luck!
Vicki
Thanks! I hope I manage to pin him down. No luck so far.
Put him in the main character's dream.
Now that's an idea 😉
Hmmm…this is a unique situation. Perhaps he is not ready to reveal himself. Or perhaps if you wrote him a letter. May seem creepy, but he just may respond.
I write to him pretty often these days. He seems offended for some reason. Perhaps cos he doesn't have enough talk-time in my WIP. But like I keep saying to him, it is Not about him at all!
I'd try to coax him out of the your dreamworld by trying to visualize your dream. If that doesn't work, how about ignoring him? That might get a response. Good luck.
I've ignored him for 3 years, but given in each time. Thanks, I need the luck!
***shrugs*** Is he supposed to be scary? Mysterious? A stalker, perhaps?
Good luck.
Hugs and chocolate,
Shelly
He skins live women for a hobby, and first appeared in my head three years ago. He won't go away.
You need to go all Ninja on him!
Naturally Alex.
Jo, you would expect Alex to make this comment, right? lol!
Alex, may I borrow your Ninja army?
